The Story
Why I built SkillSpark
In 2021, I was running a seed-stage startup in Bangalore. We desperately needed engineers. For 3 months, I interviewed candidates from across India—only to find that most graduates lacked real-world skills.
Meanwhile, I knew brilliant college students who didn't know how to get their foot in the door. The disconnect was clear: the hiring market was broken.
So I started training students from my network in the exact skills we needed. Within weeks, they shipped features. Three of them eventually became full-time employees. That worked so well, I realized it could scale.
